Calluses Gone Naturally!

Many of my clients have big calluses on their feet. Makes it not so easy to do Reflexology on them. This is a natural remedy that was given to me years ago by one of my students - I've passed it on and the feedback has been good.

First of all it is not a good idea to use a pumice stone on a callus..being made of volcanic rock, it is like shredding your skin with glass. It only makes the callus worse. I find natural soft stones, foot files or Pretty Feet work better.

If the calluses keep coming back try this simple remedy. Take a cotton ball and pour a little Castor Oil on it. Enough to wet it but not too wet. (Wring it out if you poured too much.) Tape this to the callused area, put socks on (so youdon't get the oil on the bedsheets) and go to bed. Do this each night and eventually the skin will become soft and the calluses will start to peal off.

Hi Bobbi,

Thanks for the tip. As bad as castor oil tastes, I am glad to put it on my feet instead of in my mouth! :-)

this has already reduced the hardened area of the calluses...in only 1 day. i didn't tape the cotton, just put a towel underneath. i made sure i applied castor oil to the areas.

thanks for the help.
